Senior Full-Stack Engineer (Web3) 

Remote: Timezone overlap with US working hours preferred (GMT -7 to GMT -3)
Contract Type: Contractor via Deel or direct transfer

We're partnering with a fast-growing fintech startup that’s reinventing how people move, store, and spend money — across borders, without middlemen or hidden fees. They’re building real-world financial solutions powered by cutting-edge tech, including Web3.

This is a unique opportunity to become the first senior engineer in a high-impact environment. You'll shape the core infrastructure, influence product direction, and build for scale from day one.

What you will do in Your First 3 Months:

• Build the first customer-facing application (Next.js + TypeScript).

• Set up core payment APIs and wallet integrations.

• Ship MVP features weekly and take ownership of the release process.

• Establish engineering workflows (CI/CD, testing, code review, analytics).

Beyond the First 3 Months:

• Design and scale services handling millions in daily transactions.

• Optimize across the stack: gas fees, API costs, off-ramps, L2 efficiency.

• Build for extensibility: enable features like P2P transfers, cashback, merchant tools, proximity-based interactions.

• Mentor new hires and shape engineering culture and rituals.

Technical Expertise

Frontend:

• 5+ years with modern frontend frameworks (React, Next.js preferred).

• Strong skills in TypeScript, CSS-in-JS, and scalable component design.

• Experience building mobile-first, responsive UIs.

• Familiarity with auth flows (OAuth, JWT, Web3).

Backend:

• Experience with Node.js and building robust APIs (REST/GraphQL).

• Knowledge of PostgreSQL and Redis.

• Understanding of serverless or containerized deployments (Vercel, AWS Lambda, Docker).

Web3 / Ethereum Ecosystem:

• Strong grasp of EVM-compatible chains and Ethereum architecture.

• Experience with wallet integrations (MetaMask, WalletConnect, Privy, etc.).

• Familiar with ethers.js, viem, or web3.js.

• Understanding of stablecoins, gas optimizations, bridging, and L2s (Base, Arbitrum, Optimism a plus).

Product & Startup Mindset

• Comfortable in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.

• Ownership mentality: from idea to shipped product.

• Strong product thinking and contribution to UX decisions.

• Focused on shipping and iteration over perfection.

Team & Collaboration

• Excellent communicator; async-friendly.

• Previous experience in small teams or startups.

• Willingness to mentor and grow the team.

Bonus Points

Experience with:

• Payment or remittance flows

• KYC/onboarding integrations (SumSub, Persona, etc.)

• SDKs from fiat-to-crypto providers (e.g., Bridge, Circle)

• Analytics tools (PostHog, Amplitude)
