The challenge: 

As a Backend Engineer, you’ll be central to building the technical foundation of a platform serving millions of crypto users around the world. You’ll deconstruct legacy systems into scalable, service-oriented architectures, and architect real-time, high-throughput backend solutions that make self-custody wallets, trading tools, and web3 apps faster and more accessible.

You’ll contribute to a growing suite of decentralized products—including wallet experiences, staking, dApps, and more—powering one of the world’s most ambitious blockchain ecosystems.

• Decomposing a legacy backend (Rails) into modular microservices

• Designing and implementing systems that scale securely across global markets

• Collaborating with engineers, designers, PMs, and leadership to turn product vision into technical reality

• Writing clean, well-tested code that powers critical user experiences and backend infrastructure

• Contributing to long-term system architecture strategies and roadmap planning

Technical Skills (Required)

• 3+ years of professional experience in backend software development

• Hands-on experience designing and maintaining production systems

• Strong understanding of service-oriented architecture (SOA) and system decomposition

• Proficiency in backend development using Golang, Ruby, Python, or similar languages

• Experience with Docker and modern databases like Postgres, MongoDB, Redshift

• Familiarity with blockchain technologies (Ethereum, Bitcoin, etc.) is a plus

• Bonus: Crypto-native experience (e.g., dApps, ENS, interacting with wallets)

• Bonus: Exposure to security-sensitive or high-availability financial systems
